June, July 2011 - The Youth served during Transformers Week with “transforming” a garden, cars (a car wash raising money to purchase gas cards for those who could use a little help), and the Blue Water Free Store! |

July 2011- Some members of the youth group went to a United Methodist Conference at Purdue University in Lafayette IN that happens across the US every 4 years called Youth 2011. This year’s theme was “More Than” to learn that we can do more than we think: social justice, hunger and clean water issues, fair trade and equal exchange, etc and see what other teenagers are doing now to make a difference in this world.

The first Sunday of every month is KISS (Kids In Sunday Service) where youth attend and are involved in the worship service.

Monthly multiple churches’ teenagers get together for Downtown Youth Group (DYG). In showing that we truly are One Body, we have fun and serve others. Food Fight Against Hunger, a Corn Maze and Harvest Fun, Laser Tag, and a Christmas Party are our 2011 events which will continue into 2012 and beyond! |

May 2011- Everyone worked hard and had a blast at the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for the local Mobile Food Pantry! |

June 2011- Vacation Bible School was “Shake It Up!” with Scraps the Raccoon teaching us about Israelite Festival Celebrations and how they relate to us now. We “Feasted on God’s Word” through song and dance, sign language, storytelling, acting, and even meal preparing.

Kaleidoscope Wednesdays throughout the fall of 2011 are a dinner all-ages fellowship time with changing activities every week.
